My First Completed Manuscript
I’m posting just to encourage someone who may be like me, always starting something, then dropping it to pick up something else. I’ve been determined since the first of the year to complete a manuscript. This week, I finally typed “The End.” This was the third draft for this WIP and I’m pretty sure there might be one more good edit. But I feel good. (Doing James Brown dance!)
I had way too many POV’s at one time. Totally confusing storyline. Totally unfocused plot and the middle was a killer to figure out. I’m sure I even head-hopped a few times in the beginning too.
With this draft, I’m feeling more hopeful. So hopeful, this summer I will work on queries, a marketing plan, one sheet – all that good stuff! This manuscript will be marketed as Mystery/Suspense.
I’m also motivated to finish the cozy mystery I started last year as well. I’m determined to completely write the rough draft with my inner editor turned off. I believe that’s why it has taken me two years just to get this first manuscript completed.
Here’s the blurb below.
