Do Non-African American readers read African American books?

image Do Non-African American readers read African American books? That’s a question that floats around quite often among my writing and reading circles. Writing buddy and author, Linda Leigh Hargrove, writes a great article on Christian Fiction Online Magazine about this topic. Linda is the author of  The Making of Isaac Hunt (June 2007) and Loving Cee Cee Johnson (September 2008).

One of my favorite authors is Claudia Mair Burney. Read almost everything she’s written, so I guess the answer is yes. Also, read some of Marilynn Griffith. As long as the story grabs me, I don’t what their ethnicity is.

    Gina,

Claudia and Marilynn are two of my favorite authors. I just love a good story and read all across the board with no preference on ethnicity. I appreciate you stopping by to comment. I found your comments to be encouraging as an aspiring AA Christian writer. :)

    Blessings,

    Ty
